Review - Rajannnnn
As the filming for of our production began, our group had immediatly had fallen out. This then lead to a number of arguements over the next few weeks and eventually, we had decided to go our seperate ways and make different productions. Fortunately, we somehow put everything behind us and continued with the same production. Filming was very stressful especially as it was being done during winter at night. Transporting everyone to and from my house was also an issue sometimes. As our production featured alot of stunts and action, it was very tiring and as we would film very late, we would be exausted in school the next day!
Editing started out quite well - untill a full days work got deleted! That just took the p*ss! We then had to re do all of that, however in the end we came out with an outstanding production, especially as the majority of people doubted that it would be a success as it is a horror trailer - and in the past they have not been very successfull, it felt nice to prove everyone wrong! :D
After all of the problems which had occured with our group, we came out even stronger and most importantly, we came out successful!

Review by Nafisa =)
Whilst filming and producing this trailer we had a lot of fun as well as tense moments. On the first day of filming at Rajan’s house we got into an argument where we then decided to produce our own productions. However, we eventually laughed it off and were reunited as a group again =] We had a lot of fun when filming but got really cold because our filming was taking place in Rajan’s garden and it was cold then. Also when filming some members who were involved in our trailer were not available on certain days which then caused more problems. However, this made our group stronger and also helped us sort out our problems in a convenient way. Filming and the editing process was very stressful and also took a lot of time to do but we were one of the groups who got our editing done earlier which made up for us coming in to edit in the holidays. Overall, producing the trailer was enjoyable, fun and after all the arguments and laughter we have finally completed a successful production!

Review - Simmren
The process of the production was very long and stressful, even though Rajan was convinced that we would get all the filming done in one day. The first day of filming was a flop as we then realised the battery from the torch was not working so we all just decided to go home instead. The next few days we got a lot of footage however there was a big misunderstanding which lead to a huge fight where we felt breaking up the group would be the only resolution. However in the end through all the laughter the pain the fun and the arguments, we have come together as a stronger group with an excellent production!

Editing [11.03.08]
We even recorded ourselves speaking in the D block were the stairs are and we got a nice echoing effect which sounded wiked and goes with the whole trailer. We cut down alot of the scenes because they were quite long and we needed short sharp scenes so they just flash at you like a trailer so yeah that was okay aswell.
However, we did get tired and HUNGRY well i reckon that was just mee but yeah and we messed about aswell. But we would like to thank JASPREETO for helping us today as well as yesterday and forever and ever:) until we are finished lol!
Ohh and one more thing for all them people who are saying things about our group..i rekon you should keep your comments to yourself and we will see what happenss okayy :D muahhah!!
Well ima b outii due to im chatting on msn and this was meant to be short and sweet but i rekon its long but owell. Toodles .x.

Filming...again! [09.03.08]
What makes things worse is that I couldnt find the make up I used on the previous days, so I had to use charcoal from my BBQ : however overall I believe some of the shots captured were quite good as I look evil and dominant which is obviously my role. ( Nafisa & Simmren, its your turn next! muahahaha ) ok bye!

Third day of filming [21.02.08]
We done some of the scenes we done last time again because they didnt come out right and we done some new scenes. We actually had fun this time and we (the girls) were wrapped up warm this time so we didnt really feel that cold.
Sid had to go to footie so the boys left earlier and we stayed for a bit and done some more scenes which came out pretty good. Me and Rajan had some fake blood and makeup on our faces to look like we were injured. But i didnt even get a scene were they showed a close up on ma face so i was disappointed!! Well anyways we would like to thank Rupi for the makeup and doing our faces haha and thanks to Sid, Robbie, Sumeet and Rupi again for being in our production and helping us throughout the trailer :) Also we would like to thank Neelam for helping out!
We've nearlly completed our filming and im so glad we have and finally get onto doing the editing and then the production will be complete hehe! Im so glad we finally worked through this and sorted out our problems and now it feels like nothing even happened to begin with :)Well im off out now got things to do haha byebyeexx

Second day of filming [19.02.08]
Well we got into a bit of a problem because we didnt know how to get to Rajans house at first we were meant to be getting dropped off by our parents but then they were ill so we needed someone else to drop us and we didnt want to catch the bus incase we got lost and he lives quite far away, finally we got our friend Richard to drop us, so thanks for that Richi :) haha anyway when we got there we were filming the moon aswell as the sunset and it looked so nice i was getting amazed, it was a pinky blue and looked wiked!
When it began to get dark we started to film and it was freeeeeeezing cold we couldnt feel our toesss :( We didnt do many scenes but we got a scene were Rajan(villain) put Simmren(one of the 6 friends) into a wheelbarrow and took her somewhere, we also tried to get a scene where i had to say 'Hello is anyone there?' and Rajan was sitting on top of the hills, that looked like such a good setting and scene but the camera went dead so i rekon we have to film that on Thursday. Thanks Rajan haha
Heres a picture of Rajan when he had some makeup on around his eyes to make him look scary and trust me he was scary!! when he gives us that scary look and makes them weird noises i get scared and always think its real!
This is the picture of us when Rajans giving the audience that Scary look and i just looked scared or shocked and Simmren is smiling i think :S ahah im not sure but we was meant to look scared so hmm!
Thats another picture of us when we were meant to give a funny look so Rajans got that massive smile, Simmrens smiling and i just decided to cover my mouth :S haha!
Well thats it for now so hopefully ill get back to you and tell you everything that happened on Thursday :) Byebyee..Toodles..Bless :);) x

First day of filming [31.01.08]
We began to film and it was okay i suppose. We had fun whilst filming and got some good scenes where the villain was after us and we were screaming it was funny, even though i got a bit hurt when i was getting strangled but it was okay haha. I enjoyed it and we had a bit of fun but towards the end we had an arguement which was really scary and put us all down. I will not mention what happened but all im saying is it was *scary* and i reckon we should have filmed it as i was telling Rajan it would have been good :) haha!
Anyways now things are finally sorted and we havent filmed for two weeks but before they were a bit weird and we didnt really talk due to the arguement we had but we have sorted out our differences and are now planning to film soon so ill keep you updated on what happened:)

Genre Conventions
The film will challenge the common representation of White protagonists and villains and will feature Asians instead. This is something we have decided to change to show that other people can also appear on these movies and so it is different to other horror movies.
As, this trailer is being targeted to a wide audience, it would be ideal to include some elements of a Hollywood trailer. This will be done because it will attract the audience more, however keeping elements from an art-house trailer is still essential.
The whole midnight and darkness atmosphere will be formed due to it is what makes the ‘horror’ genre and helps to make the movie seem more realistic and scary.

Overview for our production -'Face of Fear'
Our production will begin with a group of six teenagers (3 boys & 3 girls) leaving their car to ask an old man for directions. The old man then persuades the group to stay the night in a cabin of his as he feels it is far to late for them to be traveling. the group eventually agree's and go to the cabin. They struggle to open the door, so they send one of the guys to ask the old man for assistance. On his way to the back to the old man, he is assaulted and murdered by a mysterious man. The man vanishes as the group finds their friends body in a puddle of his own blood. The rest of the trailer will show a number of diffrent shots from other scenes and music will replace speech.
Our setting for this production can be seen below.

The Setting for 'Face of Fear'
This area will be used as the setting for the majority of our practical production. It is a very dull and messy area which fits with the horror genre conventions. The weather at this time of year is also good for us, as it tends to be quite dull and foggy. The sun also sets quite early so darkness will make it look alot more like a horror film trailer.
Raj
'See No Evil' Trailer
We have watched the See No Evil trailer a number of times because it relates to our practical production. This is due to the fact that we are also doing a horror film trailer. This trailer has been produced by ‘WWE Films’ and 'Lions Gate Films'.
In the trailer is a group of people within their late teens – early twenties. They are the victims in the movie of the main character which is a huge man named Jacob Goodnight. During the trailer, Jacob is shown as a dominant force on a path of destruction destroying everyone and everything he see’s. Jacob appears to be wearing a scruffy, ripped, grey t-shirt with black jeans. His facial expression is angry to make him look more intimidating. He is represented as a demented psychopath. The group of victims are all wearing casual clothes with common hairstyles (straight open long hair for females, short spiked hair for males). They are represented as vulnerable and helpless people.
The lighting in the trailer is low key. This is because the aim was to make the environment a dark and scary place. Many camera angles and shots were used during the trailer. The most commonly used was the low angle shot. This was used to make the villain Jacob, look powerful and unstoppable. Another common shot used was the high angle shot. This was used on the group of victims to make them look vulnerable. Close ups were also used to show the characters emotions, especially when victims were screaming in fear. An extreme close up was used to show Jacobs eyes. This was done to show that his two eyes were different. Long shots are used when Jacob is chasing his victims, and an over the shoulder shot is used when he has caught a victim and has pinned them against the wall. A special effect which I noticed is making the camera “negative”. This means making the characters look a lot frightening. This effect is used for only 1 second. Many shadows were produced due to the lighting in this trailer. This would add a more chilling experience to it. The sounds in this trailer begin with the sound of water coming out from a shower. This is because a female victim is having a shower; however the doors then creeks open due to the fact that Jacob enters the bathroom. Sounds which are made by characters are victims screaming and shouting. Jacob also makes noise by stomping a lot when running after victims. Not much music is played in this trailer until at the end, where an electric guitar and drum kit is played for about 10 seconds to create more tension in the chase scenes.
The target audience for this film is mostly males above the age of 18, however the secondary audience is females over the age of 18.
